Toi Monique Davenport

Toi was born on June 9, 1981 to the parents of Walter & Delores Thomas. She was a loving mother of 3 beautiful children. Toi’s education began in Sunny South Dallas at H.S. Thompson Elementary School. She attended Atwell Middle School and graduated from Townview High School. Toi continued her education by attending Dillard University, then graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor’s Degree. Toi furthered her education at the University of Texas at Arlington & received 2 Master’s degrees.

Toi was a middle & high school educator for about 15 years. At the time of her passing, she was a Senior Learning Facilitator and Program Manager for Amax Insurance Company.

Toi was a longtime member of New Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, where she was in the Youth Choir. She later joined Friendship West Baptist, where she was also in the Youth Choir. She loved to sing!

Toi was preceded in death by her dad, Walter Thomas, Jr.; grandparents, Spurgeon & Myrtle (Mu) Williams and Walter, Sr. "Big" & Vivian Thomas.

She leaves to cherish her memories her 3 children, Jadyn Thomas, Camren Blanton, and Kyle Blanton; mother, Delores Lyons; stepdad, Robert Lyons; brothers and sisters, Johnathan Williams (Sherika),

Walter (Tina), Dominique, LaWalter, Trashon, Taquala, Diamond; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
