

Toliver Jordan Hutchinson (TJ) was born November 15, 1951, in Waxahachie, Texas to the parentage of James Hutchinson and Elizabeth Hutchinson. TJ accepted Christ at an early age, and he attended New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Waxahachie, TX. TJ went home to Glory on November 12, 2022, at the age of 70. TJ attended the public schools of Waxahachie, TX and was a member of the graduating class of 1970 where he excelled in sports and earned a football scholarship to Southern Methodist University (SMU) while studying Political Science.
TJ loved all sports; especially football. TJ also loved celebrating and entertaining with family and friends.
TJ was employed by Southwestern Bell (AT&) for a number of years, and also Jairus Construction in Houston, TX as a Project Manager.
TJ was preceded in death by both his father and mother James S. Hutchinson and Elizabeth Hutchinson, two sisters Claudette Washington and Shirley Wilson, three brothers Earl Dean Hutchinson, Leroy Hutchinson, and James Hutchinson, Jr., beloved daughter Tonia Hutchinson, and best friend Alford Coleman (Cobo), and Goddaughter Equeria Coffee.
Precious memories remain with his wife of 40 years Elvia Hutchinson (Cat), two daughters, Kimberly Robinson (Terry), and Shaniqua Hutchinson. Brother Jimmy Hutchinson (Ruth), Brother-in-law Phillip D. Mickles (Lundra). Three grandsons Kemahr Brown, Korneilus Robinson, and Kourtney Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Special friends Robert Smith and Evelyn Parker.
