

Tommie Bradford Walton, 96, of Dallas passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2014, at her residence in Dallas. She was born in Dallas, TX on September 28, 1918, to Thomas L. and Lena Meador Bradford, Jr.
She attended Highland Park High School and Hockaday School in Dallas and Holton-Arms School in Washington, DC. Tommie lived life fully, traveled widely, enjoyed entertaining family and friends, and loved the outdoors and her dogs.
Family and friends were the most important thing in Tommie’s life, and she will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her sister Maidie Bradford Goddard and brother-in-law W. R. Goddard. She is survived by her sons, Thomas L. (Brad) Bradford III and his wife Nancy, and David T. Bradford and his companion Catherine E. Gattuso of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Sarah E. Bradford, Thomas L. Bradford IV and Stephen A. Bradford; niece and nephew, Mr. & Mrs. Hugh Corrigan IV and Mr. & Mrs. W. R. Goddard Jr.; and great-nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Thomas L. Bradford III, David T. Bradford, Thomas L. Bradford IV, Stephen A. Bradford, William E. Corrigan, Blake G. Corrigan. Honorary Pallbearer: Dale P. Johnson.
The family is very grateful for the many years of service and loving care provided Tommie by Mrs. Dolores T. Palmer; also very grateful for Mrs. Vickey Stephenson and Mrs. Delannia Cleveland for their love and care, and the staff at Vitas Hospice.
A Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX 75225. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery, Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Children's Medical Center Foundation, 2777 Stemmons Fwy Suite 700, Dallas, TX 75207.
