Tommy Wunderlick, cherished son of Joy and Tom Wunderlick and treasured brother to Sarah and John, passed away Sunday, November 8. Tommy was born on September 9, 1995, in Dallas, Texas. He is a graduate of Jesuit College Prep and The University of Oklahoma.
“Tommy Tune” - kind, sweet, caring, and a friend to all. He was full of compassion, a gift he got from his beloved mother Joy. Tommy adored his sister Sarah and his brother John. Silently caring and watching over them, he was always so proud to let people know that he was his big sister’s little brother, and equally happy to let his baby brother John play with him and his friends. Tommy loved his brother and sister with a full heart. Tommy loved his parents well, too. He was proud of how his mother Joy brought a smile to all who knew her. He respected his father’s generous and merciful heart. He learned from them how to be kind and to live life to the fullest - filling others hearts with warmth! Tommy surrounded himself with great friends, friends who loved him unconditionally, friends who are better for having spent time with Tommy. Tommy was a man who lived each day to the fullest. The family takes much comfort knowing that Tommy was welcomed with open arms into Heaven by Our Lord, the Good Shepherd. We know there will be great joy when he is united with his Granny Anne, his wonderful Papa and his uncle Mike, and meeting his namesake Granddad Tom for the first time. Oh, the fish tales they will share! Twenty five years of leaving a positive wake…God bless all who have been loved by our precious boy!
We will celebrate Tommy’s life with a funeral mass at noon on Thursday, November 12, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 12521 Inwood Rd. The mass will be live-streamed at https://youtu.be/tYgreA93MLM. There will be a limited number of seats; masks and social distancing are required. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tommy Wunderlick Scholarship at Jesuit College Prep., 12345 Inwood Rd., Dallas, TX. 75244
