Venetta Mary Dumas Delfeld

Venetta was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on July 10th, 1933, to Noel and Helena Dumas. She graduated from St. Edwards in Dallas. Venetta was married to Richard Anthony Delfeld on June 5th 1954, and they were married for 35 years.

Venetta worked as a Social Worker for The Brady Center for years. She enjoyed Church, Family, Friends, and Las Vegas. She was also actively involved in Catholic Charities and the Over 55 Club.

Venetta is preceded in death by her husband Richard and her son Charles, her grandson Christopher as well as her Mother and Father, her sister Delores Nichol and her brother, Buck Dumas.

Venetta is survived by her children Richard, Cindy, Helen, and Dwight, her grandchildren Melissa, Corey, Jacob, Tyler, Chaz, Rick, DJ, Jack, Reese and Rachel, her great-grandchildren, and other family and friends.

Venetta’s Rosary will be held at St. Pius X Church at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 24th 2026, with Funeral Mass to follow immediately after at 10:30 AM with Father Dan Clayton officiating. Committal will be at Calvary Hill Cemetery on Wednesday, February 25th at 10:00 AM.
