Veronica Marie Aviles, 28, of Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on December 2, 1990 in Dallas, Texas to Reynaldo Aviles and Maria del Rosario Aviles.
At an early age, Veronica was diagnosed with Emery-Dreifuss muscular dystrophy. Despite the diagnosis, Veronica lived a fulfilling life. She completed her elementary education at St. Mary of Carmel Catholic School, and continued her high school education at Bishop Dunne Catholic School. She went on to pursue a higher education at the University of Central Oklahoma where she earned a dual major in Forensic Science and Criminal Justice.
Veronica completed her internship at the Midwest City Police Department in Oklahoma. Upon returning to Texas, she graduated from the Grand Prairie Citizen Police Academy and volunteered at the Grand Prairie Police Department.
Veronica loved crafting and started her own online Etsy shop , VeroCreated, where she offered handmade embroidery hoop designs and jewelry. She was also an avid fan of Broadway musicals and attended them often.
Veronica is preceded in death by her mother, Maria del Rosario Aviles, her maternal grandparents, Manuel De La Rosa and Maria del Refugio De La Rosa, and her paternal grandfather, Ladislao Aviles.
Veronica is survived by her father Reynaldo Aviles, her brothers Oliver Ray Aviles and Reynaldo Marcos Aviles, her paternal grandmother Eulalia Aviles as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
