October 11, 1931 – January 8, 2019
Veronica Dieckman, 87, of Corinth, passed on January 8th, 2019 in Corinth Texas with her family by her bed side.
Veronica was born in Toronto, Ohio on October 11, 1931.
Veronica loved having her family and friends around, she loved taking care of their needs and especially cooking for them. She was always sending things home with you when you left, something she may have just gotten, leftovers, no telling what ended up in the bag you were given. She had a sense of humor and always had a smile on her face, and two very favorite words, which she said right up to the end, and the family knows what they were. What will be missed most is her geniune , selfless and thoughtful personality, she made everyone feel special.
Veronica married her beloved husband, Al, on October 5th, 1957, they were married for 62 years.
Veronica obtained her RN Bachelor of Nursing degree in West Virginia. She served in the Air Force as a flight nurse then worked at Methodist Hospital in Dallas and several VA facilities.
She is survived by her husband Al Dieckman of Corinth, children Albert Dieckman (wife Sheryl) of Dallas, Texas, David Dieckman of Pilot Point, Texas, Tommy Dieckman of Cooper, Texas, Kathy Steuck (husband Greg) of Sanger, Texas, and Todd Dieckman (wife Tracy) of Lewisville, Texas. Grand Children, Ajay and Taylor Dieckman, David and Jeffrey Dieckman, Matthew and Kyle Steuck and Alexandria Dieckman.
Great grandchildren Chase and Blake Dieckman.
A memorial service will take place at Calvary Hill Funeral Home on March 15th, 2019 at 1pm, to remember and celebrate the life of Albert and Veronica Dieckman.

I so enjoyed getting to know sweet Veronica over bunko nights and Scottish Rite luncheons. What a fun lady. She will keep heaven on its toes!

Aunt Veronica will be missed by all. The Demko sisters were raised with love, caring and sharing in their hearts. I keep a toothpick holder, with their names on it, on my kitchen counter. Perhaps it is from their 50th anniversary. We have fond memories of Veronica and Al's visits to Ohio and our visit to them in the great state of Texas. Prayers to the family.
