Vicente Reyes, 102, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 19, 1923, in Mexico City, Mexico, to Soledad Gonzalez and Vicente Reyes Sr.
After migrating from Mexico to Texas, Vicente found love and built a life full of purpose. On September 21, 1954, he married his beloved “Chucha,” Jesusita Ramirez, and together they raised a beautiful family of nine children. He is survived by his sons and daughters: Vicente III, Felix, Angie, Gilbert, Dolores, and Jesus. He is preceded in death by his wife Jesusita, and children Sally, Jose, and Sergio.
Vicente was a true jack of all trades—skilled in carpentry, plumbing, and mechanics—before ultimately pursuing his greatest passion: welding. He had a deep love for soccer, both on the field and as a devoted fan, and was known for his strong dedication to family. Vicente’s legacy lives on through the 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren he helped raise with pride and joy.
He was also known for his quick wit and infectious laugh. Always ready with a joke or playful comment, Vicente had a gift for making those around him smile. He loved to laugh and share joy with others, and his sense of humor was a cornerstone of his personality. His laughter echoed through gatherings and quiet conversations alike, lifting spirits and bringing people together.
To his neighbors and friends, he was “Maistro”—the one who could fix anything, always ready to lend a hand. Vicente was deeply loved and respected, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
