A Tribute
We remember the songs that you used to sing
Rainbows and Parasol's and such
Some songs are happy, some songs are sad
We have them recorded, for that we are so glad!
You made Holidays so fun
From Easter to Christmas time
Overflowing baskets of candy
The house filling with the scent of pine
Dinner cooked every night
From meatloaf to pot roast
Always starting reciting Grace
Not a crumb going to waste
A mother you always wanted to be
Children, a gift from Heaven
Never did you think
That the number would reach seven
Giving your all in every way
No matter what the sacrifice
You always stood up for your beliefs
Never having to think twice
Thirteen called you Grandmother
From Dallas to Santa Fe
Loving with a firm hand
Never missing a Birthday
Family trips were taken
A '76 Buick Station wagon filled
Galveston was within reach
Pitching tarps up on the Beach
June was reserved for fishing
Caddo Lake we would go
Three to a tin boat at sunrise
Bodacious BBQ for the ride home
Rolls and rolls of oldies
"Those were the days my friend"
To the playroom we would go
Singing around the player piano
Family time meant so much to you
Swimming and cooking out
Every Sunday we remember
Vegetables and steak for dinner
Millers, a family of 10
Nieces and Nephews aplenty
Aunt Sister you were called
The legacy of Vira and Henry
