Virginia Lozano, 88, passed away on May 28, 2026. Born on January 22, 1938, she grew up in Chicago and moved to Dallas, Texas with her family at a young age. In West Dallas, she met her husband, Pete Lozano, and together they built a life rooted in family, perseverance, and steadfast love.
Virginia was a full-time wife, mother, homemaker, and caregiver to those around her—work she carried with quiet strength and tireless dedication. She gave of herself generously and thoughtfully, meeting each day with resilience and a steady wisdom shaped by years of showing up for others. Beloved by many, she was known not only for her devotion, but also for a feisty spirit and an outspoken, witty humor that could brighten a room and speak the truth plainly, often in the same breath.
She found joy in the everyday pleasures that made a house feel like home: cooking and baking for those she loved, and staying active through jogging and line dancing. Through it all, her loyalty to her children—and especially her grandchildren—remained one of the clearest expressions of her heart. She often reminded those she loved with a simple truth that became part of her legacy: “Your children are yours for life.”
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Lozano, and her son, Daniel Lozano. She is survived by her five daughters: Dolores Dominguez, Debbie Duran, Teresa Garcia, Mona Perez, and Rayna Mendoza; 20 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
