VIRGINIA CAMPBELL BLAYDES ZACHRY

Virginia was born in Shelbyville, Ky. on March 4, 1919. Her parents and two sisters preceded her in death. She went home to be with her Lord on December 29, 2017. Virginia’s beloved husband Rev. H. C. “Zach” Zachry to whom she was married for fifty three years departed from this life on January 25, 2003. She is survived by their two sons H. Campbell Zachry and Leamon B. Zachry, two loving and caring daughters-in-love Linda and Laurie, five grandchildren, Clay Zachry (Hilary), Emily Kretz (John-Michael), Laura Lea Chalhoub (Anthony), Lindsey Bourland (Matt), Franklin “Zach” Zachry, seven great grandchildren, three nephews and a niece. Rev. Zachry was a Baptist minister beside whom Virginia served faithfully throughout his active ministry. Virginia worked full time until she and Zach moved to Dallas and settled in Presbyterian Village North. Prior to moving to Dallas Virginia worked in the library at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. Virginia was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a terrific grandmother. She was at least a fourth generation Baptist and a member of Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas at the time of her death. Virginia will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

I do not have words to express how much my Grandmother (Muz) meant to me. She will always have a special place in my heart. I think of her everyday and I can only be so lucky to see her again someday. Thank you Muz for being my Grandmother (and so much more).

I love you,
Laura Lea

Mrs. Zachry always spoke so well of her kids and grandkids. Then I had a prayer concern one time and she volunteered to pray. Prayers were answered by the way. A very sweet lady. I really enjoyed visiting her.
