Wallace Todd Chapman, 66, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018, in Dallas, Texas. He was a dedicated and loving husband, loyal brother and cool uncle. Todd was born September 9, 1951, in Houston, Texas, to Wallace Webster Chapman, Jr. and Lynn Victoria Leverett Chapman. The family moved to Amarillo, where Todd attended school at Coronado Elementary, Stephen F. Austin Jr. High and Tascosa High Schools. He attended Rice University and later served two years in the US Marine Corps in San Diego as a Bandsman, French Horn. Todd joined Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, where his professional career spanned 32 years in locations including Houston, California, Atlanta, Chicago and Dallas before retiring in 2012. Todd was a lifelong Presbyterian, dedicated family member, lover of classical music, opera, golf and connoisseur of wine. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, generosity, continual learning and genuine interest in family, friends and co-workers.
Todd is survived by wife, Susan Partridge, Dallas, and his siblings and their families all living in Texas: Larry and Jill Chapman and family of Garland; Dale and Karen Chapman and family of Amarillo; Joy Chapman Gayle and family of Pearland; and Wallace W. “Chip” Chapman, III and family of Canyon; and the wonderful nieces and nephews that were so special to him.
