Walter attended school in Shreveport Louisiana. He graduated from Booker T Washington class of 1969. He furthered his education at University of Texas in Arlington where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He retired at the age of 62 from Amerisure Insurance Company.

On June 14th, 1969 Walter united in Holy matrimony to Brenda Green in Shreveport Louisiana
“God said unto them, be Fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth”
To this union two children were added Carwin and LaTonya
“A time to Mourn”
He was preceded in death by Johnnie Theus (father), and Ella Mae Marshall Theus (mother)
“I will not leave you comfortless”
He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 57 years Brenda Theus, his children: Carwin Theus (Lea) and LaTonya Theus; (2) sisters Johnnie Ella Hampton and LaDonna Theus (of Shreveport Louisiana), extended brother Charles Roberts (Diane) (4) grandchildren: Dezarai Evans, Whitney Theus, Treven Theus, and Synia Roberts; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L., Dallas, TX 75232, US, on July 18, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L., Dallas, TX 75232, US, on July 18, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens, 3001 S Belt Line Rd, Grand Prairie, TX 75052, US, on July 20, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.
