

On 3rd Day of the month of February in the year of Our Lord 2020. Walter Stewart Webbs left this earth to meet his Savior and Worhip at the Throne of God. One of the most important things Walter focused on "quiet time" sitting daily to read The Word of God.

Walter was the first sibling to be born in Syracuse, NY to August Wessbecher (Webbs) and nee: Elizabeth Reeber, originally from Germany. After the passing of his biological mother, Elizabeth. The Lord provided the most wonderful loving and kind woman Margaret, he knew as his mother for the remaining part of his life. Margaret completely adored and loved Walter and gave him the endearing name of "Walterly". Walter had onebrother, Ernie and one Sister Lottie.
In 1947 to1956 He served in the Navy, he was a member of the VC-7 Crew in 1956 to 1968 he served in the Air Force.
Walter's had an adventerous spirit. The love of sport cars, especially Porsches, traveling, racing and for heavens sake the Game of angles GOLF!
He met his wonderful wife, Derlene Henson in 1968 and have been married for 49 years. They shared the joy of traveling to the Mediterrian, France, many states in the US with friends, not to mention the heavenly travels to The Masters Golf Tournaments.
The Webbs have been members of Northwest Bible Church since 1979. Both Walter and Derlene served in Three Score kitchen. Walter was a member of the Parking Posse and Ushered. He joined a mission trip to Pucallpa, Peru in 1986 with the Wycliff Bible Translators. In this particular trip the group was high jacked and Walter was held at gun point. Walter contiuned the trip "Praising his Savior all the day long".
Through the years, all the trips with friends and magical times being a fun loving person per say "cutting up" to being with family have been the greatest blessings.
Walter will be missed by his endearing Wife, Derlene, Brother-in-Law, Sister-in-Law, Nephews, Nieces, Great Nephews and Great Nieces and friends.
The family would like to give a heart warming acknowledgement and appreciation to friends, Church Staff, Chaplin, Social Workers, Caregivers, Nurses and Funeral staff for the meals, cards, love and support.
May the Lord Bless you for the love and support during the time of need, while Walter made his way to the arms of Our Lord.
2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Today, we celebrate the Life of Walter.
