Wanda grew up in Dallas, Texas, and moved to Grand Saline, Texas, during her senior year of high school, only to return to Dallas as soon as she could. Her career as an Insurance Claims Analyst was marked by dedication and professionalism. After retiring from her full-time job, Wanda found joy in becoming an after-school caregiver at St. Monica Catholic School.

She is survived by her loving sons and their wives, John and Rose Kohut, Chris and Katie Kohut, and her cherished grandchildren Jonathan and Blake Kohut, Kaleb and Mason Kohut, Nicholas Terrell, Nathan Kohut, as well as her great-grandson Nolan Terrell.
A loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys, often referring to them as the "cardiac Cowboys," Wanda enjoyed playing bingo and poker, and relished eating oysters on the half-shell. She had a talent for sewing and was known for cooking and baking delicious dishes and treats for family gatherings and holidays.
Wanda was actively involved in her community, particularly enjoying her time with the WT White High School MCJROTC boosters when her grandson Nathan was active in the unit from 2014 to 2018. Her love for the sun, swimming pool, and family trips to Crystal Beach will be fondly remembered. Known as somewhat of a "celebrity" at her apartment complex's swimming pool, Wanda cherished the camaraderie and fun times shared with friends and family.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Elena Hines and her organization, Nola's Hands Extension Residential Homes, for their sincere and attentive care during Wanda's last years of life.
