Warren Alexander Gilbert, Jr., December 14, 1925-May 12, 2015, a gentleman, patriot, civic minded, real estate developer-investor, loving husband, dad and grandfather. Warren was born in Dallas, Texas. He attended Davey Crockett School, Woodrow Wilson High School, class of 1942. He received his BS degree in 1946 in Accounting from Texas A & M College. A veteran of WWII, he was called to serve his country while attending Texas A&M. His Army unit was stationed in the South Pacific. After graduation from A&M, he went to work for Republic Bank, and later pioneered the original Greenville Avenue State Bank, which is now Bank of America. His civic involvement included: The YMCA, White Rock Rotary, The Cotton Bowl Council, The Dallas Summer Music Hall Board and Northwood Club. He retired from the Army reserves after 46 years of service. Warren is survived by his wife of 55 years Pattie Pittman Gilbert, his daughter Pattie Gilbert and granddaughter Wynde-Morgan Shaw. Services will be held on Thursday, the 21st of May at 2:00 pm at Sparkman-Hillcrest, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas.
