Longtime resident of Red Oak, TX. Wedsel was born on April 9,1929 in Canton, TX passed away on May 30, 2016 in Red Oak.preceded in death by his parents Harley, Sr and Gladys Groom;brother Harley Groom,Jr. Wedsel was a veteran of the Korean War 6th Infantry Tank Battalion. He served as minister of music at Oak Grove Baptist, Lancaster Park Baptist, Friendship Baptist and Ovilla Road Baptist. Wedsel was a Alumni of Baylor University, taught music 3 years at Wilmer Hutchins Jr High and served on the Red Oak School Board from 1975 to 1984. Wedsel started his Insurance career in 1961. He is survived by loving wife Wanda; sons Weylin and wife Cindy, Buddy and wife Angela; grandchildren Craig and wife Laney, Garrett and wife Keri, Laurin, Brenna, Evan, Aaron, Wyatt and Lexi; great grandchildren Scotty and Hudson
