WELDON JOE "RED" MILLER -- 91, died on November 14, 2011. Born October 19, 1920 in Quinlan, TX, Weldon grew up in Dallas and attended Forest High School (Madison). He proudly served in the Army Air Force, 339th Fighter Group in England during WWII and upon his return from the war worked at Dallas Transit Co. (DART) until his retirement 33 years later. Weldon was a 32nd Degree Mason, member of the Scottish Rite and Hella Temple Shrine. He is preceded in death by his loving parents Joe Lee and Asenath Maye (Atteberry) Miller, his wife Dorothy Anita (Nichols), and son Frederick Clifton "Ricky". Weldon is survived by his children Patricia Ann (Ray) Potter, David, Ricky's widow Barbara, Stephen (Jennifer), and Susan Monroe; grandchildren Zachary, Rebecca, Star, Sky, Sun, Amy, Robert, Benjamin, and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, November 18, 2011, at Grove Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gordon Illausky officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends beginning at 9am until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
