Mr. Welton Hall Sr. entered into rest on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at his home. He was affectionally known as Daddy, “Paw Paw” and Uncle Peanut. He arrived as a wonderful bundle of joy as the youngest of eight to Mr. & Mrs. John Jack and Susie Mae Hall.
During his life time Welton graduated from Dunbar High School in Mexia, Texas in 1954. After graduation, he served in the United States Navy. He also attended Prairie View A& M University. Welton retired from the Dallas Independent School District as a Master Painter of 30 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his father, John Jack Hall, mother, Susie Mae Hall. Siblings, John Jack Hall Jr., Patsy Ruth Hall, Natlean Rubbles, Helen Wilkerson, Robert Lee “R.L.” Hall, and Kerrie Allen Hall. Former Wife Sandra Hall.
Mr. Welton Hall left a legacy of love, admiration and respect. He never met a stranger and everyone loved him. He met everyone with an infectious laugh and whole hearted smile. The outstanding heritage that he absconds:
His adoring wife of 37 years, Doloris Branch Hall. He was Superman to his boys, Anthony Perez Hall, DeVaughn Staley (Twana), Welton Christopher Hall II, Korey Lamont Hall, and Torrance Clayton Hall. His was the best #GIRLDAD to his daughters Theresa Shaquanda Staley-Echols (Howard) and Candais Crystal Hall-Hicks (James).
He was affectionately known as “Paw Paw” to his grandchildren Cekedra Howard, Ashley Green, Jordan Harden, Zakora Hall, Tampa Scott IV, Anthony Davis Jr., Kory West, Asia Reed, Kennedi Echols, Jada Echols, Chase Tinner, Allison Hicks, Alyssa Hall, Kinzee Hall, and Journee Staley. Loved by his Great Grand Children, Chelcea Howard, Chyna Howard, Amron Abdullah, Aiden Jones and Aniyah Jones.
Affectionally known as “Uncle Peanut” with his favorite nieces, Diane Hall Releford, Lanette “Big Candy” Henry (Perry) and Rosalind Vaughn. His wonderful Great Nephews, Rory Matthews (Renee), Justin Hale (Darleny), Gearald Ennis Jr. and Jarious Ennis. His Great Grand Niece Kylee Ennis and Great Grand Nephew Khyan Roberson.
With a host of Cousins, Nieces and Nephews and Extended Family Members.
He cultivated and elevated a lifetime of family which he adored dearly and he will surely be missed.
