Willard was a good brother and friend.  We were pledge brothers in Sigma Chi and lived over at the Triangle H private dorm and shared many fun and formative times. All honor to his name.

Fran...It is hard for me to believe Willard has been gone for over a year.  I think of him a great deal and he will always be alive in my mind and heart.  I think of you also and I hope you are doing well.  I know you really miss Wil.  Call if I can help!!

Fran.....I mistakedly thought Will passed away last Oct 12th instead of Sep 12th. There has not yet been 1 Wednesday afternoon that I do not remember Will. I think of him much more often than that, but as you recall, Wed was Will and my day to play golf. During the 80's and 90's it was always Thursdays. After my relief pharmacist, Donna, quit working for me, Will arranged his schedule for us to make Wed our day for the last 20 years. Will and I were friends for 36 years. We were also best friends for 36 years! He and I always seemed to agree on almost everything. He was a great mentor for me when I worked for him as a young pharmacist in the 70's, a great employeed pharmacist for me while he was putting togther his purchase of ML Rx. Then he and I served as great pharmacist collegues from the 80's to 2012 as we each owned our own pharmacy concurrently for a couple of decades. He had a very unique way of getting along with everyone he met. I miss him very much as I know you do. I hope this message finds you well and happy. Dear Fran,

I was deeply saddened to hear of Willard's death from John McDonald.  Although it's been many years since we have communicated, I have fond memories of you and Willard in our heyday and Liz even remembers getting together with the two of you soon after we were married. I'm sure throughout his life Willard remained the kind, sensitive and gentle individual that I remember him as in our college days while at the same time fun loving and not entirely resistant to some serious partying if the need arose.

I know you will find strength and purpose through your children, family and close friends.  Liz and I want to express our deepest sympathy and let you know our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.  I truly hope our paths will cross again.

My deepest sympathy to Willard's family, I was so sorry to read of his death. Thank you for sharing the obituary and picture in the Lubbock paper for classmates and friends who knew him and his family in Morton. I always admired and respected Willard when we were in school and after reading the guest book I realize he had those same great qualities as a man. I am sorry we never had the opportunity to know each other as adults. Although there is so much heartache and sadness in the death of a loved one there is always comfort in the precious memories.

Dear Mrs. Cox, Cristin and James, 

What great respect for Mr. Cox I will always have.  This consummate gentleman's humorous, patient, gentle and kind nature made him a blessing to know. And, I can think of few dads who took such a genuine interest in his children's friendships as he did.

On a personal note, Mr. Cox was generous enough to give me my first ever job working at Marsh Lane Pharmacy.  Cristin and I were in 7th grade or so and loved every minute of any responsibility with which anyone might trust us.  I believe we were relegated to the gift wrap department  :)

And what a saint he was to chaperone our group of HPHS senior girls with Mr. Moore on a Spring Break trip to Acapulco. Only now, as a parent, can I begin to imagine how exhausting that must have been to take on!  But he did so with joy and a spirit of adventure- what a gift to Cristin and to all of us who were fortunate to attend.

My heart breaks for your beautiful family facing this tremendous loss. What a unique, talented and devoted husband and father he was.

My absolute regrets not to be able to attend the service today, but we continue to keep the Cox family in our prayers.

We worked together for eight years at Walgreen's.  I always knew Will to be  generous and consistently patient. I am heartbroken Mr.Will was a wonderful man, I considered him as my friend not just a co-worker. He gave me advice, and help me with my math homework. Will had such an impact on my life. He help me become the Tech, I am today. I worked at Phil's and  Will was always the bright spot of the day. I was so sad when Phil's closed and we no longer worked together, but the loss I feel now is so great. He will be greatly missed.  He not only touched my life but my two daughters also were tech with him. The Pinckert Family will never forget him.  You are in our prayers.

Dear Willard,
I read about your death this morning and I felt a tremendous sadness.  I regret I did not do a better job of staying in touch with you.  At the same time I felt the sadness, I also felt many fond memories of all the times we spent together in business, hunting, and golf.  I remember all the fun times we had together and thats what I choose to remember.
