William Earl "Bill" Barker, Jr. was born on October 12,1930 in Evanston, Illinois. He attended the University of Texas at Austin where he met his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann. After they married, they resided in San Antonio where he began a long career in the investment banking business. During the last 15 years of that career, he enjoyed writing a daily market report which was a reference for many across the country.
After moving to Dallas in 1971, he became a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal church where he served on the Vestry and the Board of Governors.
Bill was a long-standing volunteer (18 years) for Meals-On-Wheels of Dallas and also served meals at the Austin Street Shelter.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann (Tucker) Barker. He is survived by 2 daughters, Martha Haack of San Luis Obispo, CA and Cindy Norton of Hot Springs Village, AR; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
