

William Binder, passed away on August 30, 2012 in Dallas, TX. He was born in Trenton, N.J., on March 14, 1927, attended Columbia High School and Purdue University, where he received a degree in Mechanical Engineering. His first job was designing air conditioning systems for New York City buildings, such as the Empire State Building, before moving to San Antonio, TX. to join his father-in-law in the wholesale appliance business. In 1963 he moved to Austin, TX. to run what would become the largest furniture manufacturing Company in the Southwest. After moving to the Dallas Metroplex, he enjoyed playing golf and designing machine parts for several Dallas area Steel Manufacturing Companies. He was preceded in death by his wives, June H. Binder and Charlotte Dubin. Survived by his children and their spouses, Louise and David Rosenfield, Robin and Richard Krueck, Mitchell and Kim Dubin, David Binder, Lori and Allan Freedman, Suri and Darrel Poulos and Ethan and Hinda Dubin; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Jack Bellick; sister-in-law, Cookie Markey; 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at Temple Emanu-El Cemetery, Rabbi Debra Robbins, officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Temple Emanu-El Synagogue.
