William "Bill" James Coe

William “Bill” James Coe, age 97, passed away on February 18, 2022 in Sunnyvale, Texas. He was born on July 10, 1924 in Dallas, Texas to Roy and Emma Coe. Bill was raised in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Grapevine High School in 1942. He went on to proudly serve for 3 years in the United States Army as a Sergeant during World War II. He married the love of his life, Kate Pelton in 1947, and the couple had one child. They enjoyed 64 beautiful years of marriage together.

Bill was a skilled and hardworking man who started Almcoe Refrigeration in 1960, and sold the business after 34 years of successful operations. Bill was a man of integrity and faith, and was very involved with his church; he served as a Deacon for 69 years, and served as a Treasurer of First Baptist Church of Forney for 30 years. In his spare time, Bill was happiest raising cattle or reading a good book.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Kate Pelton Coe; parents, Roy and Emma Coe; brother, Harold Coe; and sister, Rosalie Herold. He is survived by his son, Dennis (wife Lila); granddaughters, Dena Dixon (husband Jason), Tresa Hardt (husband David); great-grandchildren, J.Mark Dixon, Andrew Coe Dixon, Jacob Dixon, Emma Dixon, Maddie Claire Hardt and Reeves Hardt; sister, Shirley Sanders; and numerous nieces and nephews.
