William Hugh Holloway Jr. passed from this world on October 26, 2014 at the age of 79. He was born April 28, 1935 to William Holloway and Mary Elizabeth Holloway. He is preceded in death by his parents and his devoted brother Thomas Garland Holloway. Though he suffered a traumatic brain injury as a child that left him with physical and mental limitations he never allowed it to dictate the quality of his life. William worked at the Dallas Morning News for more than four decades making many dear friends there. His enjoyment of battle field history took him across the United States but he always returned to his beloved Dallas, Texas. William was proud of his family history as one of the early settlers of North Carolina, sharing that history with others as often as he could. William Hugh Holloway Jr. is survived by his nephew Scott Thomas Holloway and wife Laura, their children Alexis and Brett, his niece Lori Beth Holloway-Witty and her husband Byron, and their children Thomas, Caroline and Allison. Memorial services will be held Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 3:00 PM and located at Singing Hills Funeral Home, 6221 University Hills Boulevard, Dallas, Texas 75241.
