Bill Karahal died September 29th in Dallas, Texas. Bill was born in Waco, Texas, on December 29, 1938, to Argiris (Frank) and Vasiliki Karahal. He graduated from Waco High School in 1957 and from Baylor University in 1961 with a BS degree.
After graduation, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served for two years. When his duty in the Army was completed, he moved to Dallas, Texas, where he worked in insurance administration and later became Administrator of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. After retiring, Bill stayed active by volunteering his services to the Church and was very active in a fraternal organization, American Hellenic Education and Progressive Association (AHEPA) ,where he served in several official capacities. He never met a person he did not like and always had a smile for everyone. Although he was a confirmed bachelor, he found the Church to be his family.
Bill is survived by his brother George and wife Glenda; his cousins Sylvia Speakman of Galveston, Texas; Angeline Burks of Spring, Texas; Demitra Taskos and Argyro Karahalios of Greece.
A visitation for William will be held Monday, October 4, 2021, beginning at 10:15 AM, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 13555 Hillcrest Road, Dallas, TX, 75240. The Trisiagon will begin at 11 AM and funeral service will follow . Services will conclude with committal at Hillcrest Mausoleum & Memorial Park, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX, 75225.
Memorials may be made to the Holy Trinity Beautification Fund or the Scholarship Fund of the AHEPA
