William Howard Kendall

William (Bill) Howard Kendall passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on July 1, 1943, Bill lived a life marked by steadfast devotion to family, deep appreciation for the outdoors, and enduring pride in the work of his hands and heart. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and will be remembered with gratitude and respect by all who knew him.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Esther & Joseph Kendall.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Janeen Kendall; his children, Billy Kendall and Kathy Kendall; daughter-in-law, Felecia Kendall; and grandchildren, Griffin and Kennedy; sister Sally Luebke (Jerry) and niece Lisa.

Bill built a successful career spanning 30 years with Tuesday Morning, Inc., where he served as a buyer and Vice President of Textiles. He earned the respect of colleagues through his knowledge, dedication, and genuine passion for his work—qualities that remained consistent throughout his life and set a standard for those who worked alongside him.

Outside of his career, Bill found joy in pursuits that reflected a spirited, capable nature and a lifelong love of learning by doing. As a teenager, he developed an early passion for building race cars, a hands-on interest that spoke to his curiosity and sense of adventure. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he took particular pride in his collection of Native American and Western artifacts, honoring the stories and craftsmanship they represented.

Especially meaningful to Bill was his love of horses and the sport of cutting. That bond—built on patience, respect, and time spent in the arena—remained a cherished part of his life, continuing into retirement and bringing him lasting fulfillment.

Bill will be remembered for the life he built, the passions he pursued, and most importantly, the love he shared with his family. His legacy will live on through those he loved, the stories he told, and the many lives he touched.

A memorial service will be held in William's honor at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal church on September eighteenth, 2026 at 2:00 pm. A reception hosted by the family will follow.
