William Leo (Bill) Lubbers
January 17, 1924 – March 17, 2013
William Leo (Bill) Lubbers of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully at home March 17, 2013. He was born January 17, 1924 in Chickasha Oklahoma to Ruby and Barney Lubbers. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sister.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Genovia Lubbers, son Jerry (Adela), daughters Carol Johns, Debbie Benita and Lisa Jensen. He is survived by six grandchildren, Lindsey Clark (Logan), Matthew Lubbers, Bridget Johns, Miyan (Dekel), Mirelle and Ben Benita. Also, nephew Fred Lubbers (Suzanne) and cousin Mark Lubbers (Joyce).
Bill served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-46 earning medals, ribbons and a bronze star during WWII for the invasion at Omaha Beach, Normandy, France. From 1950-52, he served in Japan and Korea and earned several service medals.
Bill graduated from Oklahoma University and worked for Ortho, Chemagro and he retired from Mobay (Bayer Agri-Chemical) Corporation after 30 years of service. Visitation at Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, Tuesday, March 19, 2013. The Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church, Dallas, Texas.

Bill hired me in 1972. I worked the Texas Panhandle area and retired in 1998. I thought the world of Bill as he was one of the better men I ever worked for. My condolences to Mrs.Lubbers and the familly.
