William Johnson Moon

He was born in Glendale, CA, to parents John Beverly Moon, Sr. and Ellen Wyatt Moon. William’s grandfather, William Johnson Wyatt, was the founder of Wyatt Industries, formerly Wyatt Metal and Boiler Works. He attended Texas Country Day School/St. Marks School of Texas and graduated high school from Greenhill in 1955. William went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Texas at Austin and was a dedicated Longhorns football fan. William held a real estate brokers license for over 40 years. He was a man of his generation and always lived life by his own rules. William was an avid reader and was always surrounded by books. He cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Beverly Moon Jr.; and sister, Nancy Moon McCombs. He is survived by his five children; Wyatt J. Moon, Patricia A. Moon, William “Mark” Moon, Thomas J. Moon, Daniel R. Moon, and seven grandchildren; Steven Engler Austin, Lori Lynn Friedman, Thomas James Austin, Shawn Parker Moon, Mary Aubrey Moon, Ryan Thomas Moon, Jake Parker Moon and a legion of friends.
