William Joseph "Bill" Westhoff

William Joseph “Bill” Westhoff died on Tuesday August 21, 2012 in Dallas, Texas surrounded by his family. Born August 22, 1917 in Parsons, Kansas he was 95.

He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Elizabeth Jean Risser Westhoff; two sons, William Gary Westhoff and his wife Marsha and Michael Dean Westhoff and his wife Joan.

Grandchildren include Jennifer W. and her husband Patrick A. Knapp; William Jeffrey Westhoff, Holly W. and husband Branden P. Adams; Tamara W. and her husband Nathan A. Hess; Kristin M. Westhoff; Heather W. and her husband Derek S. Davis; William E. Westhoff and Cathrine C. Dayton and her husband Tommy.

Great grandchildren include Grace W. N. Starrett; P. Dalton Knapp; Lauren C. Westhoff, William J. Westhoff and Wilson M. Westhoff; Holden B. Adams and Barrett W. Adams; William M. Westhoff and Emma M. Westhoff; Megan E. Davis, Lauren E. Davis and Katherine P. Davis; Morgan D Westhoff and Jordon L. Westhoff; Tamara L. Dayton, Carrie A. Dayton and Jessica R. Dayton.

A graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Petroleum Engineering degree, Bill worked 43 years as an executive in the petroleum industry. He was with Shell Oil for 25 years and retired in 1983 as President of Mississippi Fuel Corporation.

A Vigil Liturgy will be held at the Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Hwy Chapel in Dallas, Friday, August 24, 2012 from 8:00 to 8:30 pm. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm before the service and after the Vigil. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8017 Preston Road, Dallas, TX with Msgr. Donald Zimmerman Celebrant.
