Wilma Sue Lee

Wilma Sue Lee, age 91, passed away on October 7, 2022 in Granbury, Texas. She was born on January 11, 1931 in Dallas, Texas to Sydney and Marie Pitman. Sue was raised in Dallas, Texas where she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1948. She married Johnny Carmichael in 1948, and they had a son, John. Sue built a successful career for herself working as a Supervisor at AT&T for more than 35 years.

In her spare time, Sue enjoyed fishing, traveling, shopping, and anything fun! Her faith was extremely important to her, and she was a devoted member of the Granbury Church of God.

Sue’s family and friends will always remember her as a loving, beautiful, funny, and generous mom, grandma, and friend. Her light shined bright with the love of the Lord.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Sydney and Marie Pitman; sister, Nelda Pitman; brother, Eual Pitman; and beloved husband, Garland Lee.

She is survived by her son, John. T. Carmichael, daughter-in-law, Virginia, and grandson, Alex of Granbury; and nephew, Bob Pitman, his wife, Kim, and their daughter, Kristin.

A graveside service for Wilma will be held Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Grove Hill Memorial Park, located at 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
