Wilma Joe Waters

Wilma “Joe” Waters, 95, of Dallas Tx, passed away March 16th, 2022. She was born in Kirkland, Tx on May 11th, 1926. After graduating from Kirkland High School she moved to Ft. Worth, Tx and attended Draughon Business College. When her sweetheart, Harold T. Waters, returned home from WW2 they were married 2 weeks later, on November 14, 1945. They shared a beautiful and cherished 76 years together. They adored their daughter, Terri Lynn, and loved spending time with family.

Joe had a long career in insurance and took pride in her work. She enjoyed traveling all over the world, but was happiest when she was back home in Dallas. Joe was a long time member of Lochwood Baptist Church and made many wonderful friends there. She spent her time in retirement doing what she loved the most, volunteering at White Rock Center of Hope and Martha Turner Reilly Elementary School. Joe truly loved helping others, especially children. She will be very missed, but we know she is in Heaven reunited with all who have gone before.

Preceded in death: Mother, Clara Etter, Father, Noah Taylor, sisters, Patsy Waters and Helen Smith, and daughter Terri Lynn Sperry.

Joe is survived by husband, Harold T. Waters, 99. Grandchildren, Russell T. Sperry, Dustin W. Sperry, and Shannon Sperry Owen. Great Grandchildren, Eli and Hannah Owen. Wyatt, Van, Rider and Kasen Sperry. And her beloved brother-in-law Charles Waters, niece Tami Crowe, nephew Tommy Waters, and numerous grand nieces, nephews and cousins.
