Xavien Tyler Minnitt, 21, was born on March 21, 2003 in Dallas, TX to the parents of Candice Birks and Jacquan Minnitt. Xavien will be remembered as an extraordinary individual who left a lasting impression on those who had the privilege to know him. He was wise beyond his years, a very kind hearted young man, whose character and heart always shined through.
He graduated from Cedar Hill High School (CHHS) in 2021. He played the trombone in the CHHS Band and had a passion for music, creating beats and aspiring to produce. During his senior year, Xavien earned the highest rank for JROTC students as Cadet Lt. Col. Deputy Corp Commander. He had plans to join the Air Force this year.
Xavien loved many things: going fishing, cooking food (and overseasoning it), learning about cars, having a unique fashion style, watching stand-up comedy specials, spending time with his family, and friends, and so much more. He also really loved teaching soccer and music to the children at the Singing Hills Recreation Center, who affectionately called him Coach X.
Xavien found love and light through his girlfriend, Mya, who shared wonderful, fun memories, including songs of the day and corny jokes together.
Zorro Aries Minnitt aka Zorro aka ZAM is Xavien's beloved dog who was with him almost anywhere he went.
Xavien leaves to cherish and honor his memories: parents - Candice Birks, Jacquan Minnitt and Marcus Houston (Bonus Dad), siblings - Mar’Cordric, Nehemiah, J’laya, Yohaugn, Dominic, Elijah, Jamaris, Calvin, and Morgan, aunts and uncle - Lauren Birks, Jacquendez and Brittney Minnitt, an abundance of grandmothers and grandfathers, great-aunts and great-uncles, and cousins from his big, loving, loud, blended family. Xavien also created meaningful relationships with a host of friends, coworkers, and mentors, who can carry on his legacy.
