Yolanda Cortez, age 75, of Dallas, Texas passed away on August 6, 2025. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 3, 1949 to Margarita and Eliodo Reyes.
Yolanda married the love of her life, Humberto Cortez on July 8, 1967. They were married for 58 years.
Yolanda was a homemaker who enjoyed traveling and having fun at the casinos.
She is survived by her husband, Humberto Cortez; children, Leticia Cortez, Olga Cruz (spouse Daniel Cruz), Mona Garza (spouse Leonardo Garza); eight grandkids, Humberto Talavera, Kristy Talavera, Erica Cortez, Danica Cruz, Daniel Cruz, Jr., Eric Cruz, Brandon Garza, and Angel Garza; eight great-grandkids, Vanellope Cruz, Thiago Ramirez, Evalyn Talavera, Zayden Cortez, JianLuca Ramirez, Elliot Perry, Zaylee Cortez, and Violet Salazar.
The family invites you to join in honoring and celebrating the life of Yolanda. Services will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas, 75220. The visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. The funeral service will held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 11:00 am followed by the burial at 12:00 pm. Yolanda will be laid to rest in section Oratory of Saints, lot 145, space 6.
