Yolanda Golden passed away on December 24, 2018. Yolanda was born November 21, 1948 in New Orleans, La. when she was 5 years old, she moved to Oak Cliff where she attended Saint Cecilia’s Catholic School and then Sunset High.
After graduation, Yolanda married John Golden on June 16, 1967 and then started a family. Yolanda loved being a wife, mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was a homemaker.
John and Yolanda joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and they were sealed to each other and to their children on their 10 year wedding anniversary.
Yolanda is survived by her husband of 51 1/2 years, John Golden. Her children Lisa Golden, Rachel Wieda, her husband David, and John Golden Jr. Her grandchildren Crystal Golden Jonathan Golden, Jonathan's wife Kayla, Alexandria Wieda, Andrew Wieda, and Cody Wieda. Her Great Grandchildren Serenity and Draven. She will be remembered by many more family and friends.
The viewing will be December 27, 2018 at Laurel Land Funeral Home 6000 R.L. Thorton Freeway, Dallas TX from 6-8. The funeral will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 2010 South Carrier Parkway, Grand Prairie, TX 75051 at 1pm.
