Yolanda Maria Malvido. Born October 22, 1923 in Ciego de Avila, Cuba, passed away March 11, 2013 in Richardson, Texas. She is preceded in death by parents, Leoncio and Cosuelo Mora Caballero; husband Juan Pablo Malvido. Survivors include: son, Juan Carlos Malvido; daughter, Virgina Maria Malvido; brother, Leoncio Caballero; sister-in-law, Emilia Caballero; nephews, Eduardo Caballero and Fidel Maymir; nieces, Marta Kraus, Mari Arrocha, and Sara Maymir. She was a much loved Spanish teacher for over three decade and all her life would correct Spanish grammar or pronunciation. Yolanda was a very devout Catholic who would never miss Sunday mass no matter how infirm. She prayed every day and had a very deep devotion to the Virgin Mary so much that she named her only daughter-- Virginia Maria. Even on her last night on Earth she woke briefly while the family was praying the rosary and although gasping for air she actually tried to pray, but Ginger said "No mi amor no te esfuerzes dejame ser tu voz" No my love don't force yourself let me be your voice, those were our last words and I hope to be her voice forever. The family will receive friends, Friday, March 15, 2013, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM, Calvary Hill Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be, Saturday, 2:00 PM, Calvary Hill North Chapel. Interment will follow, Calvary Hill Cemetery.
