Zana A Turner Newman

Zana Augusta Newman passed away in Santa Rosa, CA on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at the age of 89. Dearly beloved mother of Russ Newman (Paula) of Phoenix, AZ, Rosemarie Kinsley of Carrollton, Catherine Moran (Kevin) of Santa Rosa, CA. and was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Margaret Newman Gliner; adored grandmother of Anthony Knisley, Major Michael Brian Singleton, US Army, Angela Elizabeth Nordyke, Aaron Gabriel Gliner, Cathleen Knisley, Tim Newman, Gayle Jarrett and Julie Newman; and loving great grandmother of Alexander Singleton, Kate Nordyke, and Jacob and Alexa Rickman. She was a devout member of Christ The King Catholic Church, working tirelessly for the Women's Club and as a member of the Alter Society; and retired from Southland Corp. as an Executive Secretary. Her Family and her church were her life. Zana moved to California 8 years ago due to health reasons, where she was lovingly cared for by her daughter Catherine and husband Kevin. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Christ The King Catholic Church, 8017 Preston Road, Dallas, TX with Monsignor Donald Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
