Growing up in Poland, Zofia met and married Leo Gorski, a teacher, after the end of World War II. They lived in the village of Slonow where their family grew with addition of daughter, Teresa, and sons, Andrew and Gregory.
After their children moved to the United States and began families of their own, Zofia and Leo moved to Richardson, Texas to participate in the lives of their next generation. Zofia had a passion for people she cared for, from the children she nannied to the lucky friends who she fed her perfected Polish cuisine. No one was hungry in the home of Zofia.
Zofia continued her traditions and commitment to her family as she welcomed grandchildren Becky Moore, Stephanie Neubauer, Basia Gorski, Jerry Gorski and Peter Gorski and then great-grandchildren Grayson and Graham Moore and Aniela Gorski, who all survive her.
Her life will be memorialized at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, located 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX, on June 24, 2020, with a Rosary at 1:30 p.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. and burial at 3 p.m.
After the funeral, the family extends an invitation to celebrate Zofia’s life at 1621 Melrose Street, Garland, TX.
