Agnes Matzura, age 94, of Hastings on Hudson, New York passed away Friday, October 28, 2022. Agnes was born to the late John and Helen Hritz on November 22, 1927, in Granville, New York. She is predeceased by her husband Andrew Matzura and survived by her daughter Agnes Ferraro, three grandchildren Nicholas and Joseph Ferraro, Dana and her husband Christopher Deisenroth, and her brother and his wife John and Veronica Hritz.
Through the years Agnes loved spending her time gardening, crocheting love and warmth into every stitch, shopping, and cooking for her family. We will remember her as a loving, independent, and tenacious woman.
Visitation for Agnes will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St, Danbury, CT. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas of Myra, 768 North Street, White Plains, NY. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 50 Jackson Avenue, Saw Mill River Road, Hastings On Hudson, NY.
