

She was the wife of John Tricarico, married almost fifty years before his death and spent seventy years in Elmsford, New York before moving to Delaware and Connecticut. She attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel School and graduated from Elmsford Public Schools.
She was the daughter of Lillian and Clarence Hammond. She is survived by her daughter Gayann and Peter Barbella of Littleton, Massachusetts, Merry Jane Dandreano of Carmel, New York, Douglas and Debra Tricarico of Bridgewater, Connecticut and Lawrence and Wendy Tricarico of Newark, Delaware. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; and sisters, Elizabeth Gladys Tomonto, Mildred Mooney; and brother, Lawrence Hammond.
Along with raising four children she was active with the Fairview FD Ladies Auxiliary, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Elmsford Historical Society, Elmsford Little League and Election Polls. She spent much of her time at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and served as a volunteer for many years providing home care for the home bound. Along with helping others less fortunate she was also registered with the Mayflower Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Alice touched more hearts than we will ever know. She was loved and meant so much too so many. We celebrate her legacy.
Friends will be received Sunday, June 19, 2022 between 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, Connecticut.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 163 Whisconier Road, Brookfield, Connecticut.
Followed by interment at approximately 12:30 pm at Ferncliff Cemetery, Secor Road, Hartsdale, New York.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Alice’s memory may be made to St. Joseph’s Church Brookfield, Connecticut.
