Angelina R. Sapienza

Angelina was born in Sersale, Calabria, Italy, a daughter to the late Nicola and Catherine Rotella. She immigrated to the United States in 1964, settling in Norwalk. She moved to Danbury in 1969 and raised her family here.

Dedicating her life to her husband, children and grandchildren, Angelina enjoyed family, friends and food. She loved to entertain and she was happiest with a full house.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children: Maria Ferber and her husband, Adam, of New Fairfield, CT; Massimo Sapienza and his wife, Ann, of New Milford, CT; Rosa Sovek and her husband, Charles, of Centreville, VA; Angie Dawson and her husband, Matt, of Warren, NY and Barbara Brown and her husband, James, of Torrington, CT. Her grandchildren: Gina, Tiffany, Taylor, Nate, Matthew, Ben, Blake and Hunter. Her great-granddaughter: Olivia. Her siblings: Carmela Falbo of Weston, CT; Josephine Mercurio of Norwalk, CT and Angelo Rotella of Westport, CT.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10am at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.

Friends will be received on Monday from 4pm to 8pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
