

Angelo Mammoliti, 83, of 26 Sunrise Rd., Danbury, CT 06810, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Danbury Hospital. Born in Via Paoli, Decollatura, Provincia Catanzaro, Italy, to Domenico and Filomena Gigliotti Mammoliti. He emigrated from Italy to Montreal, Canada and married Assunta in 1958, then emigrated again became U.S. citizens. They were happily married for almost 57 years.
Angelo belonged to the Amerigo Vespucci Lodge where he actively participated in building up the club’s bocce court and decking and volunteered at the Italian Festival. During his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, carpentry, masonry, automotive repair, wine and soppressatas. His crowning moment was when he was recognized in the paper for his gardening skills, especially the fig tree.
Angelo is survived by his spouse Assunta, his three children, Anna Denninger and her husband Cory of Danbury, CT, Domenic Mammoliti of Mt. Dora, FL, and Carlo Mammoliti and his wife Mary of Norwalk, CT, and his eight grandchildren: Scott, Stephen, Carly, Shannon, Julie, Meghan, Nicholas and Michael, as well as his many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
He is also survived by his three brothers Salvatore Mammoliti and his wife Elma, Giorgio Mammoliti and his wife Suzanne, and Vittorio Mammoliti of Canada.
The family will receive family and friends on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Mon. March 16 at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, 8 Robinson Ave., Danbury, CT, followed by a lunch reception at the Amerigo Vespucci Lodge, 1 Christopher Columbus Ave, Danbury, CT.
