Anita Sklenar, age 77, of New Fairfield, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2011, after a long illness. She is the loving wife of Daniel J. Sklenar and was born in Clifton, NJ, to Grace Patire and Vincent Ruggiero. Anita is also survived by three children, Deborah Schafer of Bethel, Donna Meeske and husband Frank of Matthews, NC and Paul Sklenar and wife Christine of Mahopac, NY; five grandchildren, Michele Roman of New Milford, Scott Schafer of Bethel, Heather Meeske, Renee Meeske, Danielle Meeske of Matthews, NC, and three great grandchildren, as well as her sister Angie Ciminello, of Whiting, NJ. She was an avid bowler, volley ball and soft ball player and loved her family.
Funeral services will be held at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, New Fairfield. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
