Anna A. Mead Machado

Anna was born in Ridgefield, daughter of the late Harold and Anna (Ferguson) Mead. She grew up in Ridgefield and attended Ridgefield schools. She worked as a Nurses Aide for many years at Danbury Hospital, prior to her retirement in 1994. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the AARP Chapter 3340.

She is survived by four children: Linda Coutts of Danbury, Dennis Machado, Jr. and wife Karen of MS, Manny Machado and wife Sally of SC and Alan Machado and wife Karen of New Milford, her sister Shirley Mead and husband Alex Frulla of Ridgefield, her grandchildren: Richard, Sue Ann, Karinena, Dennis III, Tanya, Andy, Manny, Jr., Michele, Matt, Kristy, step-grandson Steven and step-granddaughter Karen and Godchild Florence Chamoures.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Danbury, on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
