Antonio was born in Vila Franca Da Serra, Gouveia, Portugal to Francisco De Almeida and Emilia Moreira on March 9, 1935.
He was a member of the Portuguese Cultural Center and member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. He was an avid supporter of soccer especially his favorite team Sporting CP.
Antonio is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco De Almeida, Emilia Moreira; his brother, Jose Almeida; his sister, Guelhermina Cardeira; his, daughter, Angela Sequenzia; and grandson, Steve Alves.
Antonio is survived by his son, Al Almeida; his daughter, Virginia Alves; his sisters: Conceicao, Olinda, and Helena. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Rachel Bloss, Allyson Almeida, Brian Almeida, TJ Sequenzia, and Cidalia Kettles.; and his great grandchildren: Cayden, Adele, Sabrina, and Harlow.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 149 Deer Hill Ave., Danbury, CT. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury, CT.
Friends will be received from 10:00am - 11:00am on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 149 Deer Hill Ave., Danbury, CT.
