Arthur Paiva, age 87, of Danbury, CT passed away January 9, 2019 at Danbury Hospital. Arthur was born November 1, 1931 in Fall River MA, the son of the late Jose and Mary (Ricci) Paiva. He attended and graduated from Henry Abbott Technical School in Danbury and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a machinist at National Can Company, a member of Padanaram Hose #3, Catholic War Veterans, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign War and the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his two sons, Michael Paiva and David Paiva and his wife Veronica, one sister Natalie Enteado and her husband Sal, six grandchildren Gabriel, Brit, Brianna, Jennifer, Mary, and Kimberly. He is also survived by daughter in-law Wanda Paiva. In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by his wife Ruth, son Paul Paiva, two brothers, Julio and Joseph Paiva, also longtime companion Lois Chevett.
Funeral services will be private at the request of the family.
