
Arthur was born in Montreal, Canada, on July 9, 1923 and grew up in Danbury, CT. He was the son of the late Vincenzo and Madelena (Manes) Testanero.
He was pre deceased by his wife, Caroline (Tagliavento), of 55 years. He was also predeceased by his sisters Lena Licursi and Jenny Davio, and by his brothers Connie, Eugene and Albert.
Arthur was a humble, hardworking man who enjoyed jazz, cooking, gardening, taking care of his home, and following sports, especially the Yankees.
He served three years in the U.S. Army during WWII, earning a Good Conduct medal and a Victory medal.
Before retirement, he was employed for many years as a set up foreman at Curtis Packaging in Newtown, CT. He was a member of St.Mary’s Church in Bethel.
He is survived by four children: Elaine Lanspery, of Southbury, CT, Arthur Testanero, of New Fairfield, CT, Carl and Lisa Testanero, of Cummings, GA, Ann Marie Testanero, of Bethel, CT and also by four grandchildren: Melissa and Elizabeth Lanspery, and Samantha and Joseph Testanero.
He also leaves his sister Theresa Bozzute, of Wolcott, CT and brothers Angelo and Rose Testanero, of Danbury, CT and Jack Testanero, of Danbury, CT and West Palm Beach, FL as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 5pm-7pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. A service will be held in the funeral home at 7pm.
A Graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 11AM at St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
