Bernice Mary Palanzo Novella

She was born in Danbury Sept. 3, 1932, daughter of the late Daniel and Josephine ( Angelotti ) Palanzo.

Bernice was president of AJ Novella Sanitation from 1982 to 2005 when the business was sold.

She was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Church.

Bernice is survived by two sons John Novella and his wife Terry and Anthony J. Novella, Jr. and his wife Laura all of Danbury, six grandchildren and their spouses Anthony and Dia Novella, John and Lauren Novella, Jr., Amanda and Jack Madkour, Anthony Novella, III, Richard and Veronica Novella and Mark Novella, two great granddaughters Sienna and Adriana, a sister Antoinette Nissly of Danbury and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Edward the Confessor Church on Thursday morning at 11 A.M. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Contributions in Bernice’s memory may be made to Masonicare 777 Federal Rd., Brookfield, CT 06804. The Green Funeral Home 57 Main St., Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
