
Betty was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy Potter. She was a graduate of Milford High School and had worked for the Barden Corp. She later went on to work as an Inspector at the former Davis & Geck Company, prior to her retirement.
Betty is survived by her children: Bob Keenan and his wife, Linda, of Danbury; her daughter Linda Barbour of Beverly Hills, FL. Her grandchildren: Heather Martin-Feld and husband, John Feld; Tammy Keenan; T.J. Martin and his fiancée, Elise Moncada; Christopher Martin; and her step-granddaughter Kristyn Brocious. Her great grandchildren: Jalen Lake and Olivia Martin. Her great great granddaughter: Bryonnah Lake. Her sister: Doris Butka of Trumbull. Her sisters-in-laws: Gertrude Brew and her husband, Jim; and Margaret Cessario. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by her brother, Walter Potter; and sister, Grace McGill; her sisters and brothers- in-law Helen and John Ledan; Walter and Genevieve Keenan; Dorothy and Alex Clement; John Butka; Walter McGill and Patricia Potter.
Funeral services will be held at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Peter Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Green Funeral Home on Monday evening, March 6, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Contributions in Betty’s name may be made to Danbury Animal Welfare Society, 147 Grassy Plain St., Bethel, CT 06801.
