Bruce M. Peters

Bruce M. Peters, 72, of Danbury, CT passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 10, 2024. He was born in Danbury, CT on April 2, 1952, a son of the late Donald and Charlotte "Honey" (Handrahan) Peters.

Bruce was predeceased by his sister, Catherine Sexton. He is survived by his brother, Brian Peters, and wife, Cheryl, of Lisbon, MD; and his cherished friends, Mandy and Andrew Potter of Bethel, whom he loved as his own family.

Bruce was a graduate of Danbury High School and a skilled machinist. After graduation he travelled from New England to enjoy living and working in a number of locations throughout the west coast and the southeast finally returning to Connecticut to finish out his career and enjoy retirement.

He loved reading, fishing, cookies and his family and friends. He will be remembered for his quick wit, easy smile and spirit lifting sense of humor. He was a supportive and caring son, brother, uncle, friend and mentor who will be sorely missed.

A small graveside service will be officiated by the Reverend Gina Gore of St. James Episcopal Church at Wooster Cemetery (Section 23), 20 Ellsworth Ave., Danbury, CT on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 11:00 am.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are requested to be made to any charity of personal significance.
