Caroline was born January 25, 1927 in Manhattan, NY the daughter of the late Romildo and Florence (DeCamps) Pastorino. She was raised and educated in Manhattan, later moving to the Bronx following her marriage to her husband Louis in 1949. Together, they resided in the Bronx for fifty years, moving to New Fairfield in 1999. She was employed early in her life in the insurance industry, and later with Emigrant Bank in the Bronx, working there for twenty years.Caroline was a parishioner of Saint Edward the Confessor Church, and enjoyed reading, cooking and travelling in her spare time.
Caroline is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Sudano and her husband Michael of New Fairfield, her sons, Louis Mancuso III and his wife Deborah of Plantation, FL, and Robert Mancuso and his wife Gail of Lynbrook, NY, six grandchildren: Jeanine (Ray), Chris (Nicole), Danielle (Dom), Justin, Jarett, and Tyler, five great grandchildren: Ryan, Lia, Krista, Michael, and Emilia, one brother, Robert Pastorino and his wife Yvonne of Harrison, NY along with several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Thursday August 5 at Saint Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield. Burial will be in Rose Hills Memorial Park, Putnam Valley, NY.
The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury on Wednesday August 4 from 4pm to 7pm.
For those attending the visitation and/or the funeral services, it is requested that a face mask be worn should one not be vaccinated.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, the Alzheimer’s Association CT Chapter, or to Regional Hospice of Western CT.
